The KFC at 4650 W Tennessee St in Tallahassee was ordered to close on October 3, 2024, due to plumbing issues, state records revealed. The popular chicken chain in Leon County received two violations, including one high-priority infraction during the initial inspection by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation.

As stated above, the high-priority violation involved sewage/wastewater backing up through floor drains near the three-compartment sink. The inspector noted the affected area could not be partitioned off, which is a potential health issue.

Meanwhile, the basic violation involved employee's personal items stored incorrectly. The inspector observed a cell phone and keys atop soda syrup containers in a dry storage area.

Thankfully, the management staff at KFC was able to address the issues quickly. The restaurant passed a follow-up inspection the next day, October 4, with zero violations and was allowed to reopen.

This KFC location in Tallahassee currently holds a 3.6-star rating from 992 Google reviews.

Restaurant inspections provide a snapshot of conditions at the time of inspection. Diners are encouraged to check the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation website for the most up-to-date information on restaurant inspections and ratings.
