Jeff's Gourmet Cuisine in Port Richey closed temporarily after a Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation inspection on October 3, 2024. The family-owned restaurant at 9409 Us19 Ste 645 received five violations, including two high-priority infractions.

The inspector's note showed that the Pasco County, Florida, eatery reopened the same day following a callback inspection, which found only one remaining violation.

This is What Happened During The Inspections

State records revealed that the initial inspection revealed two high-priority and three intermediate violations.

Roach activity underpinned the high-priority infractions, with approximately 20 live roaches found under sinks and in cabinets. Time/temperature management issues also emerged, with various cold-held foods surpassing the 41°F limit.

Intermediate violations included an unavailable handwash sink, lack of cleaning test kits for food and health safety, and absence of soap at a handwash station. The restaurant addressed some issues on-site during the initial inspection.

While the restaurant was able to rectify these issues and reopen on the same day, the violations highlight the importance of maintaining high food safety standards.

Jeff's Gourmet Cuisine, known for its pasta bowls and large portions, has 11 Google reviews from locals, and it maintains a 4.7-star rating.

A recent customer named Minh Tran, shared on Google reviews:
