Citrus County, Florida, restaurants with the most violations in the last 30 days

In the past 30 days, six restaurants in Citrus County underwent inspections by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. State records show that while three establishments passed their initial inspections, three others failed to meet the required standards on their first visit.

With a population of 404,310, according to the United States Census Bureau's 2023 reports, Citrus County potentially has a notable number of residents who eat out regularly. Add to this the inflow of visitors, and it becomes clear why staying informed about local restaurant inspections is necessary.

Highlighted Restaurants On The List

Topping the list of restaurants with the most violations was the dining area at Inverness Club, located at 518 Ella Ave in Inverness. During an inspection on September 23, 2024, the establishment was cited for 11 violations, including five high-priority infractions.

As of this writing, a follow-up inspection has not been conducted to verify if these issues have been addressed.

Meanwhile, Grumpy Gators Bar & Grill, situated at 4828 S Suncoast Blvd in Homosassa, received seven violations, three of which were high priority, during its October 3, 2024 inspection. The restaurant is due for a follow-up review to ensure compliance.

It's worth noting that inspection reports provide a snapshot of conditions at the time of the visit. Restaurants may have more or fewer violations on any given day, and conditions can change rapidly.
