    Another Broken Egg Cafe, a popular breakfast and brunch destination in Raleigh's North Hills area in North Carolina, and maintaining a 4.1-star rating from over 1,500 Google reviews, received a B grade following an October 25 health inspection.

    State records showed that the North Carolina Department of Environmental Health awarded the Wake County establishment a score of 81.50 after identifying 14 violations, including seven critical infractions. While the restaurant remained open, immediate corrections were required to maintain proper food safety standards.

    The most notable violations at Another Broken Egg Cafe included unsuitable handwashing procedures, inadequate food protection, and issues with sanitizing equipment. The restaurant's dish machine was found to be operating below the required temperature, leading to incorrectly cleaned dishes.

    Cold holding temperatures also posed an issue, with some foods held at temperatures above the safe recommended degrees. Additionally, several food items were found to be held beyond their safe storage dates, prompting voluntary removal.

    On a positive note, Another Broken Egg Cafe staff was receptive to feedback and took immediate corrective actions to rectify several infractions during the inspection.

    However, the inspector noted that Another Broken Egg Cafe is required for a re-inspection.

    To address the initial violations, the restaurant must correct all critical issues and request a follow-up inspection within 10 business days. This process ensures that necessary improvements are made to maintain food safety standards.

    So disappointed. First set of utensils dirt, second ones worst. My daughter chocolate have lipstick , dry food on forks. Everything so dirty. We left all drink on table and left. Never experienced something so bad.
