MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Department of Public Safety unveiled a new series of billboards meant to raise awareness about missing Indigenous relatives in the state.Eight billboards feature eight missing Indigenous people from Minnesota: Leo Coleman Cortez, Kateri Mishow, Mato Dow, Nevaeh Kingbird, Melissa Eagle Shield, Melissa Burt, Jeremy Jourdain and April Geyer.The DPS says the billboards can be seen in Minneapolis, Burnsville, Shoreview, Mounds View, Maplewood and Columbus Township.The Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) office worked with Missing Children Minnesota and Clear Channel Communication on the billboards. Body of missing Minnesota college student recovered from river in Montana
CARBON COUNTY, Mont. (FOX 9) - The body of the missing Minnesota college student and hiker was recovered from a river in Montana on Wednesday. According to officials, the body of Dylan Honnoll was recovered from a river in the Beartooth Mountains, northwest of Red Lodge, Montana. Honnoll's body was found under fast-moving water.

Minnesota DNR has added No. 11 to its pool of Scientific & Natural Areas (SNA) in Lake Superior's Minnesota neighborhood, it announced this week. "The new 25 acre Icelandite Coastal Fen Scientific and Natural Area was acquired by the DNR with help from Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and Reinvest in Minnesota. The site is 11 miles northeast of Grand Marais and is one of only two known fens on coastal wetlands on Minnesota's North Shore." This aerial view by T. Economy Airline to Pull All Flights from Minnesota
Minnesota will soon have one less airline providing service to travelers, as one economy airline has made the decision to pull out of the state. Minnesota currently has over a dozen airlines that serve the state, including Delta, United, American, and low-cost carriers like Sun Country, Allegiant, and JetBlue, also service the state, but one of those will no longer fly into or out of Minnesota.

Minnesota Looking to Increase Numbers of This Animal
The Minnesota DNR in collaboration with the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa plan to move elk from the northwestern part of the state to the northeastern part of the state near Cloquet and north. Glen Schmitt from Outdoor News joined me on WJON. He says the plan is to transfer 15 to 20 elk from the northwestern part of the state to the northeastern part with the hopes of growing the herd. Schmitt says elk used to live in that part of the state many years ago. He explains the plan is to do this annually starting in 2026 until the elk reproduce on their own.

They collected a double, they had four players with multi-hit games. They put up four runs in the first and they played errorless defense. Their starting pitcher was Ethan Swanson, he threw 6 1/3 innings to earn the win. He gave up two singles, one walk and he recorded nine strikeouts. Ben Rothstein threw 2/3 of an inning in relief to earn the save, he gave up one hit.
