    Baseball roundup: Big Foot rallies for big 14-8 win over Edgerton in RVC Rock baseball

    WALWORTH — The Big Foot baseball team capped the regular season off on a two-game winning streak as it followed up Monday’s 7-1 win over Monroe with a 14-8 win over Edgerton in RVC Rock action on Tuesday night.

    Connor Weeks had a sacrifice fly for the Chiefs in the first inning before the Crimson Tide poured on six runs in the second.

    Big Foot (7-14, 4-11 RVC Rock) slowly chipped away at the lead as Skylar Jacobs had a one-run double as part of a three-run third and Ben Nitsch stole home during a two-run fourth that made it 8-6.

    The Chiefs tied it in the fifth when Weeks blasted a two-run homer to center field. Big Foot went ahead for good with a huge six-run sixth where Evan Henningfeld, Connor Weeks and Brady Wojcik all smacked one-run singles while Will Wojcik had a two-run double.

    The Chiefs outhit Edgerton 13-8 with Will Wojcik recording three hits. Weeks, Brady Wojcik and Jacobs all added two. The Crimson Tide (8-11, 6-9) had eight hits from eight different players as Colton Kurt and Noah Town each hit a double while Eli Kittleson added a triple.

    Konner Glos started for Big Foot and went six innings while allowing eight runs (four earned) on eight hits and four walks with two strikeouts. Brady Wojcik threw a scoreless seventh.

    Evansville 15, Stoughton 5(5 innings) — The Blue Devils had a nine-run fifth inning to end their game against the Vikings early Tuesday in Evansville.

    Blake Frey had a 3-for-4 day and drove in three runs. His two-run single in the fifth was the hit that ended the game. Bennett Keller had a pair of doubles and drove in two, and Wyatt Nelson and Caleb Bakken drove in a pair of runs.
