Janesville man arrested for 6th OWI

JANESVILLE — A 55-year-old Janesville man was arrested on Friday night for resisting an officer and a sixth OWI.

Janesville police officers stopped a vehicle late on Friday evening near the intersection of Mt. Zion Avenue and Milton Avenue for the registered owner having a suspended driver’s license.

The vehicle owner, Ralph E. Cone Jr., was identified as the driver and displayed signs of impairment due to alcohol. Cone failed a field sobriety testing and was arrested. Cone resisted arrest and was subdued. Results are pending for a consented legal blood draw.

Cone was taken to the Rock County Jail where he awaits a court hearing.
