WHITEWATER – The Young Auditorium will move forward with a slightly new name after more than three decades in the Whitewater community.

The facility will now be known as The Young, Brian Breezer, marketing director for The Young wrote in a release issued Monday. Breezer called the new name a “commitment to innovation and inclusivity in the arts.”

“The new identity is designed to better reflect the evolving tastes and expectations of the audience, while maintaining the high standards of excellence that have defined the auditorium for 30 years,” Breezer wrote. “While the name and branding may be changing, the dedication to excellence in the performing arts remains steadfast. The Young will continue to offer a diverse range of performances, educational programs, and community events that inspire, entertain, and connect. Its mission to support and celebrate the arts is as strong as ever.”

The Young has updated branding, new logo and a new website at TheYoungWhitewater.com.

The Young’s 2024-2025 season starts on Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. with the Capitol Fools, a political satire group.
