Rock County Medical Examiner releases names of people who died in Janesville crash

JANESVILLE — The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the names of two people who died in a motor vehicle crash at about 2:14 a.m. on Aug. 17 at the intersection of Beloit Avenue and E. Delavan Drive in the city of Janesville.

Wayne W. Caswell, 70, Janesville, and Gretchen A. Walbaum, 52, Elkhorn, were pronounced dead at the scene. Preliminary tests showed that they died of injuries as a result of the crash. Follow-up testing is underway, according to a press release from the medical examiner’s office.

The crash is still under investigation by the Janesville Police Department and the medical examiner’s department.
