Janesville man held for 5th OWI after single-car collision

JANESVILLE – A 59-year-old Janesville man was arrested Friday for his fifth OWI following a single-car crash at the intersection of McKinley and Linn streets.

Janesville police responded after the vehicle allegedly struck a curb while attempting to turn. The driver, Matt Lowman, reportedly showed signs of impairment and failed standardized field sobriety tests. Lowman consented to a blood draw, with results pending.

He was taken to the Rock County Jail, where he is being held pending a court appearance.
