Janesville man arrested after child pornography found in police search
JANESVILLE– A 39-year-old Janesville man Thursday was arrested for possessing child pornography. Brett Cochran, was arrested on five counts of possession of child pornography and was later transported to the Rock County jail pending an initial court appearance. On Thursday at about 5:30 a.m. the Janesville Police Department S.W.A.T. team conducted a search warrant in the 200 block of Rockport Road, after a four-month investigation by its detective bureau. K9 Handler Detective Winiarski deployed K9 Maui, an electronic storage detection canine to assist in finding electronics in the residence. As a result of the search warrant, numerous electronics were collected from the residence. The Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation Electronic Forensic Unit also assisted with the collection of evidence.
