443-acre Gem County fire caused by a 'swather striking a rock'
EMMETT, Idaho — Gem County Fire determined a vegetation fire that broke out near Emmett on Friday, June 21 was caused from "a swather striking a rock." The fire was located about four miles north of Emmett on Van Deusen Road. No structures or people were injured. However, an estimated 443 acres burned.
