Caro officials, Fair board to discuss future of camping
CARO — Earlier this year, the city of Caro and the Tuscola County Fair Board inked a five-year lease for use of the fairgrounds. That lease allowed camping at the fairgrounds, but with some conditions, based on limits imposed by existing ordinances. It allows the use of recreational vehicles, trailers or buses for no more than 14 days in any 90-day period, and limits three of those vehicles on each lot within the fairgrounds.

FLINT, Mich. (WNEM) - “I don’t know. It’s like a storybook in a little way,” said Flint City Bucks Head Coach Paul Doroh after an incredibly eventful playoff game. The Bucks were going against Fort Wayne FC in the Central Conference Semifinals and things seemed pretty normal early on. Flint City scored the opening goal in the first half off a rocket header from Schinider Mimy. After that, Fort Wayne FC equalized to tie things up 1-1 heading into halftime.
Friday Shooting In Burton Leaves Man Dead
A 47-year-old man was shot and killed in Burton last Friday. Police say the incident happened at the Ten Eleven Food Store at 3280 Lippincott Boulevard shortly after noon. The man was killed in the parking lot of the store following an altercation with the suspect, according to police, who say the suspect fled the area heading west toward Dort Highway. No arrestes were made.

PROVOST, Jerry A. age 86 of Grand Blanc, formerly of Ortonville, passed away peacefully with his. family by side on July 18, 2024. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jerry’s life will be held Sunday, August 25 from 2 – 6 PM at Goodrich Country Club. He will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Jerry’s memory to Goodrich Country Club, Goodrich United Methodist Church or Charity of one’s choice.
