Woman killed in Flint shooting
FLINT, Mich. (WNEM) – A woman is dead after a shooting in Flint on Sunday. It happened about 2 p.m. in the 2000 block of S. Dort Highway on Sunday, July 21. Upon arriving at the scene, Flint police officers found a woman with a deadly gunshot wound and another victim with non-life-threatening injuries, Flint Police Det. Tyrone Booth said. The other victim was taken to an area hospital.

A Lake Orion man was sentenced Monday to serve up to 50 years in prison in connection with sexually assaulting and beating a woman in her home.
