Grand Blanc native Grant Fisher to compete in 2024 Paris Olympics
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Grand Blanc native Grant Fisher is heading to the Olympics for the second time to compete for the US Track and Field Team. The 27-year-old is hoping to end the American’s drought in distance racing at the Paris Olympics. He’ll be running two events, the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races. In the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, Fisher places fifth and ninth in those same races.

Crime Stoppers is looking for leads after a woman was killed in a weekend shooting in Flint. Police said on Sunday, 30-year-old Shanquice Love was shot and killed in the Travel Inn parking lot on South Dort Highway on Flint’s east side. Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest.

Judge throws book at Lake Orion man convicted of home invasion, raping and beating woman
An Oakland County judge is sending a Lake Orion man to prison for 26-50 years in prison — far in excess of sentencing guidelines — for his "despicable" crimes and for repeatedly violating the judge's orders.
