Olean Woman Arrested for Failing to Report Address Change
An Olean woman was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly failing to report an address change. Olean Police report that 30-year-old Courtney L Brown was charged with failure to report an address change as a sex offender, which is a felony. Brown was released with an appearance ticket.

Beryl barrels by Olean as clear weather on the way
OLEAN — An afternoon downpour was Olean’s taste of Beryl on Wednesday, the storm having traveled north and west of the region. The majority of the storm missed Cattaraugus and Allegany counties, passing across the Great Lakes and into Canada and the North Country. More than 6,000 National Grid customers in Chautauqua County were without power at around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, mostly in the Dunkirk area, but the vast majority of the outages were restored before 1 p.m.
