Olean Y offering 8-week class passes
OLEAN — The YMCA of the Twin Tiers is offering an 8-Week Pass this summer to enjoy the fun of fitness with the group exercise instructors. This limited time offer allows pass holders to attend any of the Y classes on the schedule, an opportunity for non-members to experience the member benefits of group exercise classes. Participants can attend any class they would like for the duration of their eight-week period.

Oilers fall at Horseheads; Game 2 of doubleheader suspended
HORSEHEADS — The Olean Oilers dropped the first game of a scheduled doubleheader Friday and could not complete the second after taking an early lead. Horseheads took the first game 7-1. Olean led 2-0 in the second inning of the second, but the game was suspended after a delay due to weather. Friday’s Game 2 is set to be resumed Tuesday before an already scheduled game in Horseheads.

ANDOVER – Cindy Rose Keating, 67, passed away on Sunday (June 30, 2024) at home following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Keating was born on June 6, 1957 in Kittery, Maine to Robert and Barbara (Richardson) Smith. On July 11, 2015, on the Keating Farm, she married Richard C. Keating who survives. Cindy worked as a bartender and waitress, most recently at the Village Pub in Andover. She worked for nine years at Saputo’s in Friendship and she worked along with her husband on the Keating Farm.
