    Geneseo man arrested after stabbing

    A Geneseo man has been arrested after police say he stabbed a person multiple times.

    The Geneseo Police Department responded to a disturbance call at a home in the 600 block of South Congress Street on July 13. Officers found a person suffering from multiple stab wounds to the head, face and body.

    The victim was transported to Genesis Medical Center in Silvis and later transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening stab wounds.

    Officers found and arrested David Boan, 22 of Geneseo, near the crime scene. Boan has been charged with aggravated domestic battery and attempted first-degree murder. He is currently being held at the Henry County Jail. A petition to deny Boan pretrial released was filed on July 15.

    The Geneseo Police Department is continuing the investigation.
