SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A 26-year-old horse was rescued in Florida after crews said the animal slipped into a pond on Monday night.

According to the Seminole County Fire Department, the horse slipped from the mud and into a pond in Geneva, which had a steep drop-off.

The animal spent several hours in the pond before crews came to the rescue.

However, when help arrived, they were able to use a front-end loader, winch, and a ramp to get the horse to safety.
