In the wake of the Trump ruling, prominent business executives are concerned about NYC's "no rule of law"

New York City — "Birds of a feather flock together," goes the saying. Unsurprisingly the name Trump has been linked with many of the world's wealthiest and most powerful investors.

One wealthy investor in particular, who's a longtime friend and supporter of Trump's, is Grant Cardone.

Like Trump, Cardone made the bulk of his fortune from real estate investments. As for the real estate market, Cardone says he'll never do business in New York City again after Trump was found guilty of all 34 charges in his hush money trial.

Cardone complained it wouldn't make sense to invest in NYC when investors can't evict or even raise rent.

Now with the "hush money trial," according to Cardone, big-money investors like himself can't even get fair legal treatment in the Big Apple.

But Cardone isn't alone in his disapproval of how the recent ruling will adversely affect big business in NYC.

"If they can do this to a business person like Donald Trump, they could do it to anybody in New York and a lot of businesses," billionaire CEO John Catsimatidis said Friday on Mornings with Maria. "A lot of people are concerned that there is no rule of law,"

Cardone recently took matters into his own hands. He pulled his business out of New York City and then warned that Trump’s legal troubles would "wreak financial havoc" on the entire city.

As for the city, according to Catsimatidis, New Yorkers were "shocked. The country was shocked. The world was shocked, and it was just mind-boggling. People texted me that they just got home and their wives were crying. We have to bring back the rule of law."

As for how Trump's recent ruling will affect big business in the Empire State, stay tuned.
