First Arrest Made under New Face Mask Ban

The controversial face-mask-banning law is now in full effect

New York City — "For Halloween, better not walk around Times Square wearing a mask or police will show you what trick or treat really means," a comedian recently joked.

With a recent ban on wearing masks in public, jokes of the above sort are bound to continue. The first casualty of the law was spotted "wearing black clothing and a black ski mask that covered his face, except for his eyes."

Though as of now the law is only being enforced in the suburbs of New York City, such as Nassau County, if New York Gov. Hochul and others have their way — mask banning will be soon enforced across the entire state.

As for whether or not this controversial law will take full effect in the nation's most populated city, only time will tell...
