Woman found dead near Sacramento Loaves and Fishes identified. Suspect in jail faces murder charge
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A woman killed last week near Loaves and Fishes in Sacramento has been identified. Sara Jane Beebe, 43, was found dead around 6 a.m. July 16 by officers with the Sacramento Police Department after reports of a fight along the 1300 block of North C Street. She had at least one puncture wound, police said.

Rocklin incident report: Illegal fireworks with a loaded handgun and slow speed vehicle rollover
The Rocklin Police Department publishes a weekly crime report. Here are the published incidents from July 8-14: At around 8:06 p.m., while investigating an earlier crime, Rocklin officers were notified by store staff of a male and female subject who had just taken store products and attempted to return the products on the 4700 block of Granite Drive. Officers contacted the two subjects and after a criminal records check, it was learned the female had an outstanding felony warrant and was in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. The male subject initially lied about his name and once learning his real name, it was discovered he had an outstanding out-of-state misdemeanor warrant. Both subjects were arrested and booked at the South Placer Jail.

Strong Storms Possible, Flood Watch Posted Through 8pm Wednesday
Rain can be a good thing, but too much of it can lead to flooding. A Flood Watch is posted for the Truckee Meadows, including southern Washoe County, Carson, Douglas, Lyon, Mono, and Mineral Counties through Wednesday evening because of strong thunderstorms. The storms will last longer than the past few days and will be stronger too. This will make for a stormy drive home from work, but they could start around 1pm in South Lake Tahoe and Mono County.
