One person shot in Folsom, police searching for suspect
One person has been shot in Folsom and a manhunt has been underway for the suspect Friday night. At approximately 8:50 p.m. Folsom Police were dispatched to an apartment complex on Duchow Way in Folsom for the incident. According to radio traffic, one male adult was reportedly shot in the chest and has been transported to UC Davis Medical Center.

Officials working to find new place for child molesters to be released in Stanislaus County
TURLOCK, Calif. — The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office said Friday sexually violent predators Kevin Gray and Timothy Weathers won't be placed in a home in Turlock. A Stanislaus County Superior Court judge granted a motion to prevent them from being placed at that home. However, the sheriff's office said the release of the two men in a different location in Stanislaus County is ongoing.

The USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU) along with our partners at Heavenly Mountain Resort, invite the public to Hike with a Ranger beginning Friday, July 26, 2024. Hikes take place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the top of the Heavenly Gondola. The guided hikes last approximately one hour and will continue every weekend through September 29, weather permitting.
