Business Owner Who Scammed Customers Steals Wallet At Yorktown Gym: Police
The theft happened in Yorktown on Tuesday, Oct. 1, when a wallet was stolen from Club Fit at 600 Bank Rd., Yorktown Police said on Friday, Oct. 4. Investigators quickly realized that the victim's credit card had recently been used in Putnam County, and when they obtained surveillance video from this location, they were able to identify the suspect's car, police said.

The North Salem Central School District is currently searching for a new director of pupil personnel services after placing Superintendent Dr. Duncan Wilson on administrative leave earlier this year. State Police Charge Somers Man With Falsely Posing As An Attorney
SOMERS, N.Y. – The New York State Police from the Somers barracks announced yesterday that they had arrested a Somers man on Sept. 20 after he allegedly posed as an attorney in order to target victims who attended virtual substance abuse venues.After their investigation, police charged David Karaca, age 56, of Somers, for falsely posing as an attorney on a Los Angeles-based virtual Alcoholics Anonymous group. He also allegedly defrauded a victim out of $7,500 for legal fees despite not being a lawyer.
