Public Official Accuses Journalist of Attacking Staff & Black People

A Jefferson County public official in the Deputy Circuit Clerks Office in Bessemer made horrific statements. The employee stated that a journalist physically attacked office staff. This occured while Russell with Georgia Transparency (GT) was inside the public building working on a story about the Jefferson County government.

It all started when GT entered the public lobby of the clerks office and staff began to get irate. Telling GT he can't be here and to stop recording.

Later another employee in the same office arrives and immediatly begins to yell at GT. Statements made that GT was hitting black people and going through their personal belongins.

Sheriff's Office Deputy arrived and appeared to speak with the employee. However, never made contact with GT about the employees accusations.
