Rocket City Trash Pandas notch dominant win against Birmingham Biscuits, return home Tuesday
The Rocket City Trash Pandas took home a big win against the Montgomery Biscuits on Saturday in a 6-1 dominant fashion. From the outset, Rocket City controlled the game. The Trash Pandas got on the board first with a single from designated hitter Orlando Martinez to run in Christian Moore. Moore singled, stole second base, and went to third after a fly out by Tucker Flint to get in scoring position.

With the conclusion of Fall Camp, all eyes turn to the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky and who will be the first to run out on offense and defense. FUMC Donates to Habitat for Humanity
Judge Jimmy Pool and Ms. Danna Strickland of the First United Methodist Church in Montgomery recently presented a $1,000 donation from the church's mission fund to Habitat for Humanity. The donation is intended to support the mission of creating affordable housing opportunities for citizens in the Montgomery region.
Troy Bank and Trust and South Alabama Electric Cooperative invest in Brundidge industrial park
Troy Bank and Trust and South Alabama Electric Cooperative have joined together in support of the City of Brundidge through the Growing Alabama Tax Credit program. The two local businesses contributed a total of $473,275 allowed by the State of Alabama through the program. These funds will provide infrastructure to the North Industrial Park, located in Brundidge, to bring additional industries to the area.
Pike Lib hosts Samson Friday night
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots (1-0) will return to the field this Friday, Aug. 30, hosting the Samson Tigers. Pike Lib kicked off the 2024 season with a resounding 35-6 win over Class 4A’s New Brockton Gamecocks last Friday. Pike Lib rolled up 228 yards of offense in the win and forced three turnovers on defense. Dalton Jordan rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown in his first career varsity start at running back. Kade Brookins also caught three passes for 55 yards and two touchdowns. Pruitt Vaughan led the PLAS defense with nine tackles, two tackles-for-loss, one sack and two forced fumbles. Rhodes Baker also earned eight tackles, two tackles-for-loss and a sack.

Zion Chapel hosts Ellwood Christian this Friday
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... The Zion Chapel Rebels (1-0) will host the Ellwood Christian Eagles (0-1) this Friday, Aug. 30. Zion Chapel defeated Coffee County rival Kinston by a score of 27-20 in the season opener last Friday. John Foster Hamm led the Rebel offense, completing 5-of-9 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown, while Zach English also threw a 36 yard score. Brayden Benbow rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. Hamm also tallied 60 yards on the ground.
Goshen hosts Alabama Christian in season opener

Women’s Golf Opens Season at Tiger Classic
