Theatre In The X Will Host Free Performances of ONE MONKEY DON'T STOP NO SHOW
Theatre in the X, which was created in 2013 to provide the people of West Philadelphia and the African American community at large the opportunity to see professional quality theater in their own neighborhood for no cost, will present One Monkey Don't Stop No Show, a hilarious and heartfelt play by renowned playwright Don Evans, for their 11th season. Evans earned his M.A. and M.F.A. in Theatre Arts from Temple University and was a part of the Black Arts Movement. The company's production of One Monkey Don't Stop No Show will be offered to audiences for free at Philadelphia's Malcolm X Park for a limited engagement, August 22 - 25, 2024.

A Pottstown historic carousel is once again up and running after a decades-long hiatus thanks to the dedication of a group of committed volunteers, reports Todd Haas for 6abc. “It’s a work of art, really,” said State Rep. Joe Ciresi. “If you just come in, if you don’t want to ride it, just look at it. It’s unbelievable how beautiful it is. And to know the people volunteered to restore it.”

Country star Luke Bryan will trade the arena stage for a Dauphin County farm in September. He chose Bow Creek Farm & Cattle Co. in Grantville to round out his 2024 "Farm Tour" schedule. This year will be Bryan's 15th of setting up stages in the fields of local farms to give back to the community.

Search for missing 15-year-old ends
MAHANOY CITY, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Police were searching for a 15-year-old reported missing in Mahanoy City. According to the Mahaony City Police Department, 15-year-old Nywan Wallace was reported missing on July 17. On July 18 Wallace was found safe.

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission will have several meetings to gather public input on the rate increases proposed by Aqua Pennsylvania Inc. (Aqua Water) and Aqua Pennsylvania Wastewater Inc. The meetings will allow customers to share how rate increases proposed by the companies would affect them. Under the proposals, the average monthly bill for a residential water customer using 3,870 gallons per month would increase by $16.10 (19.9%) from $80.91 to $97.01.
