    Motorcyclist crashes into tree, knocking it down in Germantown

    GERMANTOWN, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Officials said a motorcyclist struck a tree causing it to fall down and block a road in Germantown Sunday afternoon.

    Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) spokesperson, Pete Piringer, said in a post on X that a motorcyclist appeared to have lost control and crashed into a tree on Warren Station and Clopper roads.

    Piringer said the tree fell and was partially blocking the area near Peachtree Road between Comus Rand W. Old Baltimore roads.

    The motorcyclist was hurt and taken to a house on Slidell Road.

    MCFRS was evaluating the motorcyclist.
