GETTYSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — A Gettysburg dentistry employee has been charged with stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the business, police said Wednesday.

Rebecca Chapman, 57, of Gettysburg, has been charged with felony counts of theft, receiving stolen property, forgery and insurance fraud, online court documents show.

Chapman is accused of stealing around $35,000 from Brent Guise Family Dentistry, where she worked, Gettysburg Borough Police said in a statement. The theft happened “over an extended period of time,” police said.

Pennsylvania Arby’s employees allegedly stole nearly $3,000 in roast beef

The investigation started after police were dispatched to the dentistry, located at 150 Chambersburg Street, for a reported theft from the business by an employee on Feb. 20.

Police did not say what Chapman’s position for the dentistry was.
