Brady couple produce meat, sell direct to customers
Kirt and LaRae Thompson, torqued by the amount of money that meat packers make compared to cattle producers, took matters into their own hands. The Thompsons started raising their own beef and selling it directly to consumers. These days, as Standing Mill Iron Ranch, they sell about 45 head each year that are produced on their ranch north of Brady.
