HD South hosts presentation on 'Women in History'

HD SOUTH volunteer Karen Harper, a historian and history professor at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, will share her knowledge and love of history  Aug. 3 in a presentation at HD South on Women in History.

Harper will bring to life the experiences of women who helped settle Gilbert. Those interested can come and hear about the unique adventures of wives, female ranchers, homesteaders, and women merchants, and discover what their impact was on Gilbert’s history.

The presentation will be at 10:30 a.m.-noon Aug. 3 at the museum, 10 S. Gilbert Road, Gilbert.

Registration is required. Program registration will close at noon Aug. 2.
