Crazy J. Rodeo Co. presents the 11th annual Roger Crouch Memorial Bull Riding event on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Nixon-Smiley Livestock Show Arena in Nixon, Texas. Lady Mustangs compete in Beeville Tournament
The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs traveled Beeville Friday, Aug. 23 for a two-day tournament. The Lady Mustangs beat George West twice in the tournament, according to Max Preps. In the first match, the Lady Mustangs swept George West in two sets and in the second tournament match between the two teams, Nixon-Smiley beat George West in three sets.

McMullen County’s London Yanity is off to a fast start this cross country season. Yanity finished fifth in the Class 1A-4A division of the Floresville Cross Country Invitational on Aug. 17, and followed up that performance on Aug. 24 by taking second at the Karnes City Cross Country Invitational.
