GILLETT — The cream of the crop resides in Gillett, with Jesse DeBauch and Aydin Franti taking home the top hardware that the Marinette and Oconto Conference has to offer.
DeBauch was honored as the M&O’s Most Outstanding Player, while Franti was recognized as co-Most Outstanding Defensive Player, as the M&O unveiled its All-Conference selections on Tuesday.
DeBauch led the loop in points per game (22.1) while averaging 8.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.9 steals and one block.
Franti collected 3.5 steals and 3.1 turnovers per contest en route to sharing Most Outstanding Defensive Player honors with Oneida Nation’s Marqus Thayer.
DeBauch and Franti both received spots on the All-Conference First Team, as did Crivitz’s Teagan Werner, Niagara’s Tommy Martin and Oneida Nation’s Ethan Danforth.
Crivitz placed two players on the All-Conference Second Team in the form of Jackson Flowers and Kade Thoma.
Teagan Anderson (Saint Thomas Aquinas Academy), Logan Kurth (Coleman) and Ben Matczak (Gillett) round out the Second Team.
Receiving Honorable Mention were: Evander Danforth-Alavez (Oneida Nation), Blake Holmes (Niagara), Victor Kostreva (Coleman), Seth Kraemer (Wausaukee), Tyler Rennie (Coleman), Connor Schroeder (Wausaukee), Mason Spice (Lena), Thayer and Trent Van Den Elzen (Suring).
