    Sweet Rolls

    These delightful sweet rolls are sure to impress your family and friends with their homemade goodness. They're perfect for any occasion; these rolls are wonderful for sandwiches, to serve as a side with your main meal, or just as a treat by themselves.

    Ingredients:

    • 2 cups of flour
    • 1/4 cup of Splenda or sugar
    • 2 1/4 teaspoons of active yeast
    • 1/2 cup of milk
    • 1/4 cup of butter
    • 1 egg
    • 1 teaspoon of salt
    • 2 tablespoons of melted butter to brush over the rolls before baking.

    Instructions:

    In a bowl, combine the flour, Splenda or sugar, and yeast.

    In a saucepan, gently heat the milk and butter until warm.

    Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

    Incorporate the egg and salt into the mixture, kneading the dough until smooth.

    Allow the dough to rise for approximately an hour.

    Pinch off pieces of dough to form roll shapes, roughly the size of a tangerine. To create smooth individual dough balls, roll each piece of dough in your hands.

    Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet and let them rise for 15 to 30 minutes, until doubled in size.

    To enhance the appearance of the rolls, you may choose to brush an egg wash or melted butter over the tops before baking. This step is optional, but it will give the rolls a shiny finish once they are baked.

    Bake the sweet rolls in a preheated 375-degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.
