    Baked Seasoned French Fries

French fries are a beloved classic side dish that can complement a wide variety of meals. Today, I am excited to share with you my recipe for baked seasoned French fries, a healthier alternative to the traditional deep-fried version.

    Ingredients:

    • 2 pounds of potatoes (russet potatoes are recommended, but feel free to use any type you have on hand).
    • 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning salt
    • 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic and herb seasoning
    • 2 tablespoons of canola oil

    Instructions:

Begin by washing and peeling the potatoes. If preferred, leave the skins on. Cut the potatoes into your preferred stick shapes and rinse them in water.

Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of water and allow them to soak for at least 15 minutes. Drain the water and pat the potatoes dry with a paper towel.

Drizzle 2 tablespoons of canola oil over the potatoes and toss them to ensure they are evenly coated. Add the seasoning salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic and herb seasoning. Toss the potatoes again to distribute the seasonings.

Arrange the seasoned potatoes on a baking tray in a single layer. Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 25 minutes, then stir and increase the temperature to 425 degrees. Continue baking for an additional 25 minutes, or until the fries are crispy.

Serve the baked, seasoned French fries and savor the delicious flavors.

Enjoy this healthier twist on a classic favorite!
