    Homemade Creamed Potatoes

    While mashed potatoes are a classic side dish, there are times when you crave a more luxurious and velvety texture. Today, I will demonstrate how I create my homemade creamed potatoes, reminiscent of the ones my grandmother used to make. Join me as I share my recipe for achieving the perfect silky and creamy smoothness in every bite.

    Ingredients:

    • 4 to 6 russet potatoes (depending on size)
    • Seasoning salt, to taste
    • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
    • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
    • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
    • Water for boiling

    Instructions:

    Begin by peeling and rinsing the potatoes.

    Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover them with water. Bring the water to a boil and cook for approximately 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.

    While the potatoes are cooking, warm the evaporated milk and butter in a small saucepan.

    Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them and return them to the pot. Use a mixer to cream the potatoes thoroughly, then mix in the buttery milk mixture.

    Season the creamed potatoes to your liking with seasoning salt and freshly ground black pepper.

    Enjoy these delicious homemade creamed potatoes as a side dish to complement any meal.
