Country Pork Tenderloin Dinner with Mashed Potatoes and Pork Gravy

Today, we're going to talk about a delicious dinner idea that you can make at home: country pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes and pork gravy. It's a hearty and comforting meal that will leave you feeling full and satisfied.

    Ingredients for the Pork Tenderloin:

    • 1 pork tenderloin
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
    • 2 teaspoons of smoked paprika
    • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
    • Olive oil

    For the mashed potatoes:

    • 4 to 6 potatoes
    • 1/4 cup of butter
    • 1 cup of milk
    • Seasoning salt to taste
    • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

    For the pork gravy:

    • 1 1/2 cups of pork drippings
    • 6 tablespoons of self-rising flour
    • 1 1/2 cups of chicken broth
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Instructions:

    Prepare the pork tenderloin:

Season the pork tenderloin with seasoning salt, freshly ground black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and onion powder. Heat some olive oil in a pan and sear the pork tenderloin on all sides until it's browned.

    Cook the pork tenderloin:

Transfer the pork tenderloin to a baking dish and roast it in a 375-degree oven for about 50 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees.

    Make the mashed potatoes:

Peel and chop the potatoes, then boil them for about 25 minutes or until they're fork-tender. Drain the water and mash the potatoes with butter, milk, seasoning salt, and freshly ground black pepper until they're creamy.

    Prepare the Pork Gravy:

Use the pork drippings from the pan to make a roux with flour. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth until the gravy thickens. Season with seasoning salt and pepper to taste.

    Serve and enjoy!

Once everything is ready, coarsely chop the pork tenderloin, serve it over the mashed potatoes, and drizzle the pork gravy on top. Enjoy your delicious country pork tenderloin dinner!
