    Ground Pork and Potato Stew

Indulge in the savory flavors of this delectable one-pot meal that is not only easy to prepare but also easy on the wallet!

    Ingredients:

    • 2 pounds of slightly frozen ground pork
    • 1 large onion, diced
    • 3 cups of water
    • 3 to 4 tablespoons of self-rising flour
    • 4 beef bouillon cubes
    • 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning salt
    • 2 teaspoons of freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons of smoked paprika
    • 12 teaspoons of chili powder
    • 8 large potatoes, cut into chunks

    Instructions:

Begin by placing the slightly frozen ground pork on a cutting board. Using a large knife, cut the ground pork into one-inch pieces. Start by cutting the ground pork into long, one-inch strips, then cube the meat to create bite-sized pieces.

Place your stewpot on the burner. Add 1 tablespoon of canola oil, then the cubes of ground pork and 1 large diced onion to your stew pot. Cover the pot with a lid and cook the ground meat over high heat for 10 to 12 minutes, allowing it to brown without stirring too frequently to maintain its shape.

Now, add 3 cups of water, 4 beef bouillon cubes, 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning salt, 2 teaspoons of freshly ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder to the cooked ground pork. Stir well and reduce the heat to medium.

Peel and rinse the large potatoes, then cut them into chunks and add them to the pot. Simmer the stew over medium-low heat, covered, for 40 minutes to an hour.

Create a slurry by mixing 4 tablespoons of self-rising flour with about 1/2 cup of water. Stir well and add it to the stew to thicken.

    Serve and enjoy!
