    Breaded Chicken

What sets this chicken breast recipe apart from others is that the meat is seasoned, breaded, then baked instead of being fried on the stovetop. My yummy recipe is easy to prepare and takes about 20 to 30 minutes to cook, depending on the thickness of the meat.

    Ingredients:

    • 4 to 6 chicken breasts, depending on their size
    • 1 cup of flour
    • 1/2 cup of melted butter
    • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
    • 1 tablespoon of chicken bouillon powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning salt
    • 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
    • Bread crumbs (optional)

    Instructions:

To make this yummy chicken dish, you first need to heat up your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. This is super important because it helps the breaded chicken cook just right.

In a bowl, add 1 cup of flour (I used self-rising flour, but any type will work for this recipe). Add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 tablespoon of chicken bouillon powder, 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning salt, and 1 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper to the flour. Stir well.

Now, melt 1/2 cup of butter and coat both sides of each chicken breast. Coat the pieces of chicken with the seasoned flour mixture. Then with the melted butter once again.

At this point, you can coat the chicken breast with breadcrumbs if you desire.

Grease a baking pan, then lay the pieces of chicken in the pan. Transfer the pan to a 450-degree preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Using kitchen tongs or a fork, turn the pieces of chicken over to cook the other side. Bake for another 10 minutes. Test the thickest part of each piece of chicken for doneness. If the juices run clear, they are done. If the chicken juices run pink, then continue baking until done.

    Serve and enjoy!
