    Savory Queso, Bacon, Macaroni, and Cheese

    Today, I am sharing my savory queso, bacon, macaroni, and cheese recipe with you all. It's a meal that is sure to satisfy the entire family. The creamy cheese base is complemented by a subtle hint of spiciness, while the addition of smoky bacon truly elevates the dish to a whole new level of tasty goodness.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 pound elbow macaroni
    • 6 to 8 slices of bacon
    • 4 tablespoons butter
    • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 cups milk
    • 2 cups of grated Queso Blanco cheese
    • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
    • Seasoning salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
    • 4 quarts of water, to cook the pasta

    Instructions:

    Boil a large pot of water and cook the macaroni for about 12 minutes. Drain and set aside.

    Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove from the skillet, chop into small pieces, and set aside.

    In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 2 minutes. Slowly whisk in the milk until smooth. Cook until the mixture thickens.

    Stir in the grated Queso Blanco cheese and the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with seasoning salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste.

    Combine the cooked macaroni, bacon pieces, and cheese sauce in a large mixing bowl. Mix well to coat the macaroni evenly.

    Transfer the macaroni and cheese mixture to a baking dish. Bake in an oven at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
