Ohio boy, 6, savaged by pit bull after mom 'cuffed hands and feet as punishment'
A six-year-old boy was viciously attacked by a pit bull after being handcuffed by his mother, her boyfriend as a form of punishment, police said. Angelina Williams, 27, from Cleveland, Ohio, and her boyfriend Taylor Marvin-Brown were arrested on separate charges of endangering children and obstructing justice after the boy was savagely attacked by the dog. Robert Michalski, 47, the dog's owner, is facing charges of endangering children and tampering with evidence.
One arrested after Saturday’s sobriety checkpoint in Warren Township
The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Warren Post arrested one motorist during a sobriety checkpoint Saturday night on Parkman Road in Warren Township. Officers made contact with 179 drivers during the two-hour operation. Officers also performed saturation patrols in the area of the checkpoint during this time. Four motorists were diverted in order to determine sobriety. Of these four, one was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and marijuana.
15th annual Panerathon set for Sunday at the Covelli Centre
Panerathon will mark its 15th year Sunday at the Covelli Centre in downtown Youngstown. Panerathon is a family event consisting of a 10K/2-mile fun run and walk with a special kids’ run courtesy of PNC Bank. There are also activities for kids of all ages as well as food and beverages.
