North East Cherry Festival Wraps Up
The North East Cherry Festival wrapped on Saturday. The day began with the 25th annual 5K where runners or walkers to could enjoy the three-mile course in downtown North East. Over 200 people participated. After the race, people could enjoy snacks and ice cream. The money raised goes to the school. The 5K was in honor of two girls killed twenty-five years ago.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Environmental Protection Agency is awarding $4.3 billion in grants to fund projects in 30 states to reduce climate pollution. The money will go to 25 projects targeting greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, electric power, commercial and residential buildings, industry, agriculture and waste and materials management. The grants are paid for by the 2022 climate law approved by congressional Democrats.
