Additional Charges tacked onto one of three suspects involved in Orchard Avenue Assault
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Additional charges were filed in the Orchard Avenue assault case that occurred near the 29-Mile Apartments in Grand Junction. Natalia Southworth is the third suspect in the Orchard Ave assault where three individuals robbed and severely beat a food delivery worker with a baseball bat. Below are the charges that were additionally assigned to Southworth:
GJPD continues to investigate 7th Street hit-and-run
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - Around approximately 10:50 a.m. on August 29th, officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a hit-and-run crash. The incident took place at the intersection of Wellington Avenue and 7th Street. Authorities stated that a truck was traveling northbound on 7th St. and struck a sedan turning southbound.
A truck drove into the river and the driver was stuck inside
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - A commercial truck drove into the Colorado River near Loma. The Lower Valley Fire Personnel staged a rescue team to save the person stuck in the vehicle. They set up a ladder on the passenger side of the vehicle to get the driver out of the truck. He had minor injuries and he was issued a citation.
An RV caught fire during the middle of the night
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - The bright colors of the fire filled the dark nights sky. A 5th wheel RV caught fire early on Wednesday morning. Many people called 911 and warned that there was a home very close to the fire. The Grand Junction Fire Department ordered additional resources to respond to the call.
