Trooper Gate topic surfaces at city commission
Junction City Commissioner Richard Pinaire noted Tuesday evening he would like to see the recent Army closure of the Trooper Gate entrance to Fort Riley reconsidered. He suggested it could perhaps be a topic for an upcoming joint city - county - school district meeting. He added local officials are stakeholders and suggested a meeting of officials with Fort Riley.

GARDEN CITY — Community colleges across Kansas are reporting an increase in students living on campus as classes resume for the fall semester. According to the Kansas Association of Community Colleges, institutions in the southwest quadrant of the state reached 100% capacity for on-campus housing a few weeks before the scheduled start of classes.
