CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Illinois State Conference NAACP has announced that it will be hosting its annual convention in Champaign. This 87th annual convention is September 27th-29th at the Hilton Garden Inn. The NAACP invites members, supporters, and the general public to participate in the conference. This year’s theme will be “All In,” which “embodies the spirit of unity and collective effort needed to address the pressing issues facing our communities,” said the NAACP leadership in their announcement. There will be a variety of workshops focused on economic development, housing, criminal justice, education and health.
