Obituary – Georgia Craig Goodloe

Georgia Craig Goodloe, 88, of Glen Allen, Va., passed away on Friday, July 12, 2024. She was preceded in passing by her beloved husband of 29 years, Robert Bayard Goodloe; granddaughter, Brandi Rae Goodloe; her sister, Portia Craig; and her brother, Sonny Craig. Georgia is survived by her children, Gail Trice (Ed), Terry King (Jed), Colin Goodloe (Patsy), and April Murphy (Jim); her grandchildren, Bill Bollander (Taryn), Bob Bollander (Alison), Jim Bollander (Kelly), Craig Lam, Jay Goodloe (Magda), Erin Hobbs (Travis), Jake King (Dana), and John King; her 16 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Buddy Craig (Mary), Freddie Craig, and Dede Craig. Georgia was a devout fan of many sports because of the love she had for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a die-hard Redskins fan. One of Georgia’s favorite pastimes was browsing local yardsales to find hidden gems. Georgia was a very loving and independent woman who will be missed by many. The family will receive friends 5pm to 8pm, Friday, July 26, at Bliley’s- Staples Mill, where a Celebration of Life will be held on 11am, Saturday, July 27. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Wounded Warriors Project in her honor.
