Gov. Glenn Youngkin allocates $30M for groundwork to Hampton Roads commerce park
The City of Suffolk got a boost this week as it received $30.1 million from the state to improve roads to a proposed 540-acre industrial commerce park. The Port 460 Logistics Center will be located in Hampton Roads along Route 460 and the Route 58 bypass. The center has access to the entire Norfolk region as well as Interstates 85 and 95.

SUMMERS COUNTY W.Va. (Hinton News) - The Summers County Historical Society is pleased to announce that it has received a grant from the National Coal Heritage Area Authority to make improvements at Hilltop Cemetery located in Hinton. The cemetery, founded about 1877, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The grant was matched 1:1 with another grant from the Hinton Area Foundation and other resources from the Historical Society including volunteer labor and donations. UVA Basketball coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton announced Thursday the signing of Payton Dunbar (Narrows, Va.), who will join the Cavaliers for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. A 5’11” guard, Dunbar was homeschooled, and recently made the decision to reclassify to the Class of 2024. Dunbar competed for Jefferson Christian Academy (Ripplemead, Va.), where she averaged 27 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 1 block per game.
