Slim Chickens hiring for restaurants in Glendale, Phoenix

A Phoenix company is hiring roughly 500 people as it prepares to open three Slim Chickens restaurants around the Valley.

Phoenix-based Barnett Management Co. announced the plan on Tuesday.

Barnett's first Phoenix-area location, a 4,200-square-foot restaurant, will open in mid-June at 35th Avenue and Happy Valley Road in Phoenix. A same-sized location will open in summer 2024 at Loop 101 and Northern Avenue in Glendale.

Another location in Yuma also opens later this year.

Slim Chickens restaurants, which feature chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, 17 house dipping sauces and fried okra, mushrooms and pickles, will be open seven days a week.

Its first Arizona location at 4170 W. Maricopa Casa Grande Highway in Maricopa, broke sales records for the chain in November 2023.

In total, Barnett plans to open 32 locations in the state during 10 years as the exclusive Slim Chickens operator in Arizona.

Barnett is a family-owned company, founded in 1979, and operates as a Burger King franchisee with more than 55 restaurants in Arizona. Its new Slim Chickens endeavor is called AZ Slims Restaurants.
