As a retired police officer who has lived in Glendale's Cactus District for decades, I've seen our community go through many changes. I want to share why I’m supporting Lupe Conchas for Glendale City Council.

Public safety is something I care deeply about, having spent my career on the force. Lupe gets it. He knows our police and fire departments need proper support to keep our neighborhoods safe.

But he also sees the bigger picture – investing in community programs, improving mental health services, and making sure our emergency responders have the best training and equipment. He’s not just talking about it; he’s got plans to make it happen.

What I appreciate most about Lupe is his commitment to being open and honest with the people he serves. He’s not interested in playing politics.

He wants to make Glendale a better place for all of us. In a time when trust in our leaders is shaky, Lupe’s integrity stands out.

I’ve gotten to know Lupe over the past few months, and I believe he’s the right person for the job. He listens, he cares, and he’s got the drive to make real changes.

We need someone like Lupe on the city council – someone who’s lived through tough times and come out stronger, someone who understands our community and is ready to fight for it.

So, I urge my fellow Cactus District residents to join me in voting for Lupe Conchas on July 30. Let’s give him the chance to make Glendale the best it can be.
