The Baltimore Harbor Tunnel was closed for about 20 minutes on Thursday in both directions because a car broke down in the southbound tunnel, according to John Sales of the Maryland Transportation Authority. In a brief phone call on Friday, Sales said one side of the tunnel is always closed for repairs like pothole filling and cleaning overnight Monday through Thursday after 9 p.m. The open tunnel then has one southbound and one northbound lane. Both tunnels reopen no later than 4 a.m., he added. Sales was unsure what type of car was stranded inside the tunnel, but said he would have been notified if a truck became stuck.

The Orioles Have Found Their Closer for the Postseason
Domínguez At the trade deadline, the Baltimore Orioles acquired Seranthony Domínguez, who was struggling. However, he has now become a reliable piece for them. Prior to the trade deadline, the Orioles had multiple holes to fill in their bullpen. Offseason acquisition Craig Kimbrel had been underwhelming, and injuries ravished the Orioles. The Orioles addressed these issues in many ways, including trading for the right-hander from the Phillies. Despite Domínguez’s 4.75 ERA with Philadelphia being less than ideal, his positive track record was enough for the Orioles to give him a chance. Domínguez has excelled with his new team, and last night against the Nationals, he came in as the closer. The Orioles have not been able to find a consistent closer this season, but Domínguez might be the answer.
